Mother's Day weekend!

We had a fun Mother's Day weekend. We went to Idaho on Saturday to spend time with Cody's parents. Just getting there was an experience. My brother Grant and his wife Erica live in Shelley, Idaho. I knew they were down at my parents house on Friday looking at travel trailers and heard they had bought one. So on our way to Idaho I called Grant and said I'd heard he bought a trailer. We figured out that he was on his way back to Idaho and we were only 5 miles behind him. I told him to pull off on an exit so we could check out the trailer. However, by the time we caught up to him he had blown a tire on the trailer. Erica needed to be somewhere in the afternoon and didn't have time to wait for the tire repair so we gave her a ride home and took Taylor for a while until Grant could get the tire fixed and get home. We also had a lugnut wrench that Grant needed to fix the tire that he didn't have. We really were in the right place at the right time for that one! So we went to lunch with Kim and Susan (Cody's parents) at TGI Fridays...love the $5 meals! Then we went to Cody's uncle Wayne's house to see the horses. They had a colt only a week old, but the best part was the miniature horses. They put a saddle on one and Corbett rode it all over the place! He was in HIGH HEAVEN!! If you don't know, Corbett LOVES horses! It was a great time. We spent the evening at Kim and Susan's house, we made them dinner and took a short dip in the hot tub. It was a fun visit.
On Sunday we got to see my mom, she came up to Tammy's house so that we all didn't have to make the trip to Kaysville. We just visited and had treats. I made my mom a family tree with vinyl for a gift but it was a lot of work so I made my nieces and sisters (and even mom) sit around and weed out the names and stick them on the tree. It was fun!

Hey, I've missed hearing from you lately! I LOVE it that Corbett loves horses so much, he looks like a regular cowboy! Cute pictures, I'm glad you had a good Mother's Day!

Corbett looks like he's having a blast. You need to get him a Cowboy hat. Maybe Cody kept his.
