New Years Eve 2013!

We had a fun New Years Party!  We went to my brother Eric's house.  Above, all my siblings.  They aren't that into pictures so I have to force them to take a picture together once every few years.  Below, Kennedy and Konrad are holding their twin cousins Sydal and Jet!
I got to hold Jet too!...
My mom has a birthday party once a month for anyone who had a birthday that month.  We had January and December birthdays on New Years this year.  Happy Birthday CORBETT!
Kennedy was photo bombed by her Uncle Grant...
We had a good year in 2013!  We went to Lagoon, Hawaii, put in a fence, went camping and boating, swimming, played a lot of sports, ran Ragnar and a few half marathons, went to Las Vegas, spent an overnighter in Salt Lake, went to Bear World, went to the Dinosaur Park, went to the American West Heritage Center, welcomed 3 nephews and one niece and just  had lots and lots of fun!  We are excited for 2014 with a lot to look forward to this year!

Christmas 2013!!

We had a really nice Christmas this year!  On Christmas Eve we put batteries in our remote control cars from last year and had pizza and pop and just played around.  Christmas morning we got up around 8:30 and opened presents.
My mom made the kids matching pajamas!

Konrad got a lot of Spiderman stuff...
Everything Kennedy opened was, "just what she always wanted!"
Corbett was the most excited of all...

Corbett asked for a science kit.  Santa brought him two of them.  This one is a microscope lab kit.  He is having a blast doing experiments.

I'm not sure if Corbett or Cody is more excited about the XBOX games.
Kennedy got her laptop in the summer but wouldn't always share so Santa brought Konrad a Spider man laptop!
Merry Christmas!

Christmas Eve at Hardware Ranch!

We got to spend the morning of Christmas Eve this year with our friends, Josh and Trish, and their family, at Hardware Ranch.  We got to feed the elk.  It was really cool!  There were about 500 elk they said, and they circled around us waiting for food.  The kids loved it!

Thorson Family Christmas Party!

We had a fun Christmas Party with the Thorson Family this year!  It was a my mom's church.  We were in charge this year so it was a bit of work!
We did the Nativity.  It was pretty fun.  When the Wise Men brought baby Jesus a gift the sheep took off with it the Angel wrestled her to the ground for it.  They are 4 years and 2 years and are sisters, so it's all good!

We had a delicious dinner and fun treat table...

The grandkids decorated sugar cones like Christmas trees...

And exchanged gifts with their cousins.  My mom also gave them all their pajamas.

We also had a photo booth which was fun!

Trip to SLC

We needed a little family vacation after Cody's long trip to India!  We headed to Salt Lake for an overnighter!  First we had a party with some long time friends in Kaysville.  It was at the Valentine's home and it was a LOT of fun!  Then we headed to Salt Lake and stayed in a hotel.  We woke up and had breakfast then swam all morning!  After that we played some more at Scheels, McDonalds, the kids played at Small Land while we shopped at IKEA, and then we headed to Kiel and Jen's house in Eagle Mountain.  The kids loved spending time with their cousins all day long!

Cody's trip to India

Cody had to take a two-week work trip to India and Saudi Arabia.  He learned a lot about the culture in these two countries.
While he was gone we had a lot of sleepovers!
We made Cody a sign to welcome him home, we were sure happy to have him home again!

Grandpa Claus

I don't know if you can get this book to show here, but this was the funnest thing we did this Christmas!  Cody's parents play Santa and Mrs. Claus and I've never met anyone who does anywhere near as good of a job as they do!  We decided to make a little storybook about it for our family!  We gave it to Kim and Susan when most of the grandkids were there so they could all read it together!  It was a lot of fun!

Shutterfly photo books offer a variety of layouts and cover options to choose from.

Farewell Grandma Sorensen

We had to say goodbye to Grandma Sorensen.  She was diagnosed with cancer and was given 2 to 5 weeks to live.  In true Grandma fashion, she lived all 5 of them!  She was excited to go to the next life and had no regrets.  She lived a good life and served her whole life.  She was looking forward to being with Grandpa and her parents and other relatives and friends who have gone before her.  We will deeply miss her.  She was an amazing Grandma and we loved her so much!  Goodbye for now, we will see you again!

She asked Cody's dad to play the bagpipes at her funeral.  It was very cold but Kim was honored to do it.

Corbett with his cousins Gabe and Jack at the church after the funeral.
A group of sharp looking boys.  Corbett was sure excited to get to play with these cousins!  (Gabe, Corbett, Jack, and Brode)
