Beaver Bash 2011!

Yesterday Cody participated in Beaver Mountain's "Beaver Bash". He entered the box car race with two of my nephews, T.J. & Payton. They made a fishing boat and they had caught an octopus. Unfortunately the octopus didn't slide down the hill very well. They still had fun making their entry and being part of the race. A lot of people commented and thought their octopus was really creative.

My other nephew, Quinn, entered the race with his friends. They made a Jamaican bobsled and wore dreadlock wigs and tie dye shirts. They won the race!

It was a fun day at the hill, we took the whole family, and it turned out to be a lot of fun!.

Getting OUTSIDE!

Lately we've been able to go out for walks and bike rides.  The twins seem to LOVE going for walks.  Today I took them for a bike ride in the bike trailer and they liked that too.  I'm loving this weather!  The babies always end up like this...

can't say I mind, plus they look so adorable!

Happy 90th Birthday!!

My Grandpa Thorson turned 90 this year.  Every March we have a LARGE family dinner for his birthday.  There is no longer a restaurant with a large enough room for the party.  We had it in the gym of a church and it was packed! It was bigger than usual in honor of his 90th. My favorite part of the party was when my grandma told the story of them meeting and courting. She said they started going "steady" and they'll be steady for eternity! They've been married 69 years!
We took a picture of me and my sibs at the party...

Corbett...Creative & Sweet!

Here a few random things Corbett has been up to. Corbett is a creative little guy. He made this drawing and wanted it cut out of vinyl. (I had to draw it on the computer for him so I could cut it).  Then he wanted it on the wall in our living room. We left it there for a week or so.
This is how he spelled bakugan (the toy ball that opens when it's magnetized, even I had to google the correct spelling). I thought he did a pretty good job!
Corbett is a very sweet kid too. The other day he told me that, "his kisses would go into my heart and give me more love." Then he asked one day why I loved him so much, of course the list is endless, I listed a few things and then I told him one reason was because he gave me kisses that went into my heart and gave me more love. He said, "mom, you know the one about giving you kisses that go into your heart and give you more love, that's because I put some of my love into them. I want you to have a lot of love because you love me so much!" WOW...what an amazing child. He amazes me every day!
I'm not sure why Corbett has these stickers all over but I'm sure it has something to do with his super hero status. Corbett loves to play superheros, lately though he is into Wild Kratts, and Cody and I are always Chris & Martin. If we tire of playing Wild Kratts he'll let us off the hook by playing robots. It is IMPOSSIBLE to find Corbett wearing a shirt at home these days.

CRAZY...but CUTE, Kennedy!!!

This girl loves to climb in anything, under anything, you wouldn't believe the predicaments I find her in. She'll climb all the way into a cabinet that is barely bigger than she is. She also loves the toilet so we have to keep a close eye on that one. She can clap, high five, wave (even say a form of Bye Bye with the wave sometimes), play hide and seek, shake her head "no", and gives kisses! Her hair is finally starting to lay down a little so the mohawk look is hopefully a thing of the past. We love her SO much!

Konrad...DETERMINED!

Konrad is a DETERMINED little boy. I love him to pieces, but I'll be okay when he outgrows his "give me what I want or I'll scream my head off" phase! Some of the things that trigger this would be getting put in his crib EVER, or yep, that's about it! Oh, and he doesn't want to be put in his car seat either and when he's ready for a bottle it better be ready for him. Konrad can cause his own kind of trouble...like for instance he can pull himself up on the dishwasher lid and hold onto the top rack. He WILL NOT leave a bow in Kennedy's hair, and makes his mission to remove it. Poor Kennedy, this is usually done with no mercy. (We don't put any more bows in her hair for her own safety). If he wants a toy he takes it, he has the weight advantage and he uses it! Konrad loves to crawl around and wrestle with Corbett and I love to watch the two of them interact.  Konrad can also wave (with a version of the words bye bye), high five, and has even taken a step several times and one time even took TWO STEPS!  His kisses are ALWAYS inappropriate (uses his tongue) but he is so fun to hug and cuddle!

Their First Duet

Honestly, if they get our musical talent this might be their best duet! Here's to hoping they get their talent from someone else!
