Summer Fun!
I try to find opportunities to say "yes" to Corbett whenever possible. Yesterday Corbett asked me if he could put water in the sandbox with his cousins. I immediately said "no". Of course he had to try again..."can I please, mom?" So I thought what the heck, and I said "yes". Corbett was a little shocked. He checked 5 times stopping every few feet on his way outside to make sure he heard right. I really can? Anyway the mess was worth his reaction. The twins got into the mud too and I couldn't resist posting this funny picture!...

Playing in the water!
Today we had a lot of fun playing in the water. We put up the little pool and this whale that squirts water out. It was a lot of fun but my favorite part was Konrad's reaction. He LOVED it!(oh yes, and he's losing his trunks!)

Ragnar 2011 - Running Behind
Last weekend Cody and I ran the Wasatch Back Relay. It was awesome! We had my sister and brothers and brother-in-law in our van. Our other van was my aunt from Mantua and some of her friends. We got up WAY too early on Friday and headed to the start line at Utah State University. The race goes from Logan to Park City. I was on leg 2 and Cody leg 6 (much harder than my leg). Each person runs 3 times with varying distances and difficulty. We had a ton of fun, laughed so hard we almost cried, made fools of ourselves, ran hard, and slept too little. Our team name was "Running Behind". We finished early Saturday morning and waited for the other van to finish their last leg while waiting for them in Park City. It took our team around 31 hours and 40 minutes. A BIG thank you to Cody's mom and dad for taking our kids! I'm sure they were as tired as we were by the time it was over but they were such good sports about it! THANK YOU THANK YOU!!
One Year Pictures
It took me a while to get the twins one-year pictures because first I was waiting for their clothes to come in the mail, then they both had goopy eyes for a long time, then they kept getting bruises on their faces! So at about 13 months I took them out for pictures. Konrad was very cooperative. Kennedy was NOT! I still think we got some fun pictures though!
Sorensen Family Reunion
We headed to Idaho a few weeks back for the Sorensen Family reunion. We had it at Grandma and Grandpa Sorensen's house in Rigby. We took our tent and some of the grandkids and Cody and Grandpa slept out the first night. Corbett is still telling people stories they told that night! Grandma & Grandpa have a fun little bounce house for the kids to jump in...
The guys and kids played a little kick ball...
Konrad loved playing outside...
We had a little game of "minute to win it"...
We took Corbett to the Teton Dam Fun Run Mile. He thought it was so cool!
Uncle Kiel helped the kids fish at a pond for free fishing day...
and the kids definitely needed a bath after all the fun... (there's too many kids in this tub, too many elbows to scrub...)
Corbett sure had a lot of fun with his cousins!!! Here he is with some of them...
