Pictures...

I have been looking for these doors in Providence for some time now. Tons of people do such cute photo shoots there.  I finally found them and took my kids for a photo shoot. We had to do a retake on Kennedy because she wasn't very interested in my pictures. As if these kids aren't photographed enough! But they did turn out CUTE!

HaPPy BirThDaY to ME!

This was a GOOD birthday! My brother and his wife Camie had their 4th boy on my birthday. Brigham Joseph was born around 4 pm, and was 8lb 4oz. He's such a cute little guy. I was especially glad he was born on my birthday! I was born on my Aunt Nadine's birthday and now we get to share the day with Little Brig!

My sister Sandra and her kids made me a really fun cake. When deciding what the cake should be they said, "hmm, what does Donna like? Taking pictures of course!" So they made a cake like my camera! I thought it was very clever!

American West Heritage Center

For Christmas my mom bought us memberships to the American West Heritage Center. We headed over there the other day to try out their summer activities. Cody went on a work trip to Catalina Island so we were happy for some entertainment!

They got to try out a few pioneer games.

We are planning to spend a lot more time at the Heritage Center. It's only a few miles from our house and Corbett loved it!  Thanks for the memberships, MoM!

A mom who thinks her twins are adorable...

So I might be a little bit in love with these cute little babies.  It seems like I might miss some of the sweet moments of having two babies running around together.  I'm going to work on that because having twins is a somewhat unique experience and they really are adorable.  Prepare for picture overload here, I couldn't pick just a few...

Star Valley Half Marathon

We ran the Star Valley Half Marathon yesterday. It was a nice race. I was super excited because I haven't ran a half for quite a while. After nursing an injury all season I finally felt like I could run normal again so I was pretty happy. Cody got a PR and was happy about that. The race had a small town atmosphere. We knew several people running it including Sandra, Joe, & niece Natalie, Aunt Janice, and several people from here in Nibley. The race was very well organized and totally catered to the runners! I highly recommend it! We had to start out very early for Star Valley since we drove up the morning of the race. My niece Samantha was nice enough to spend the night at our house so our babies could sleep in their own beds and then my sister Tammy and her kids took care of our kids all day. Thanks to the Bensons and Samantha for taking good care of our kids! Above is the "before picture" of our group. And below, yeah I look trashed cause this was the last mile and I WAS! At this point I couldn't stop thinking about how nice it would be to cross that finish line!

You might be wondering about this picture. Corbett insisted on me making him a shirt like our race shirts. He found a shirt similar and WOULD NOT LEAVE ME ALONE until I decorated it like our shirts. He's pretty happy about it. And then he kept striking the running pose for his picture?? I thought it was pretty funny and Cody just went with it!

New Babies!

We recently had a visit from Heidi and Jared and their sweet little boy Thorin!  Thorin is SO adorable and I will miss him so much since he lives far away.  I fell in love!  Thorin is a few months old but this was our first time meeting him.

Grant & Erica welcomed a new little girl into their family also. Little Emma is so sweet! We love her to pieces! This is Taylor with her new sister Emma...

Never a dull moment...

Konrad is either a little too aggressive or needs work on his balance. He's constantly hitting his head. Poor little guy, his face says it all...

And Corbett is happy as can be when we've made him a costume. Here he is Chris on Wild Kratts. I was supposed to be Martin but I never got my costume made...

4th of July!

We had a fun 4th of July! The neighborhood set off fireworks the night before so the twins were a little warmed up to them. Corbett was a little scared himself and kept running home every time there was a loud one. We went to the Hyrum parade and later in the evening we had a barbeque and fireworks at Tammy's house. It was a good time. Now we all are trying to recover from the long weekend! I took these pictures of my kids in the patriotic attire and then I left my camera alone the rest of the day so I could just enjoy! We're grateful for the men and women who serve so we can enjoy freedom in this wonderful Country!

Bear Lake 2011

Every year I look forward to our day at Bear Lake with my family. This year did not disappoint! It was probably my favorite year yet. We go to my Aunt Maryann's cabin in St. Charles and sleep in tents and trailers the night before and spend a day at Bear Lake on North Shore and then back to Maryann's for dinner together as a family. This time next year my nephew will be on a mission so I was grateful that our entire family was able to make for one last day all together at Bear Lake. Someday that might happen again but it won't be for quite a while. It was a perfect day (aside from the twins extreme grumpiness the first half of the day). Typically the wind picks up around 3 or 4 o'clock and we have to leave the beach. There was no wind this year and we stayed at the beach until nearly 7 p.m. We had my dad's boat and Corbett took his first ride on the water rocket. Cody had fun wakeboarding and playing 500 with the nieces and nephews. Corbett had the time of his life (which was good since you've never seen a kid so excited to go to Bear Lake, it was pure torture waiting until it was time to leave). We also had a lot of fun on my sister's kayaks.  And OF COURSE...our yearly sand sculpture this year was a train. It was fun building it and turned out pretty well.

Kennedy and Taylor...they're not really friends yet but someday they will be.  They still take really cute pictures together!

Yes, most of my pictures are of Kennedy, I rarely saw Corbett the whole day and Konrad was a lot grumpier and wouldn't look at the camera when he was actually doing something besides crying.
