Outside Soccer

I thought this was cute...
Corbett's first goal in "outside soccer"
checking in with the referee
Corbett has been so excited to start playing "outside soccer".  He played indoors last spring and loved it.  He had his first game this week.  Two of his cousins are on his team and his Aunt Sandra is his coach.  He scored two goals in his first game and he's pretty proud of himself.  I guess we're pretty proud of him too.  There are no goalies in this league but Corbett was assigned to be "the" defender first.  He stood right in front of the goal and blocked two decent shots before he let one through.  I always said I didn't want my kids to be goalies (that's what I played) but it was pretty fun to see him block some shots.  They lost by about 7-3 but Corbett thinks they tied so he was happy but he might need to work on his math!

Congratulations to Corbett. Pretty fun having Sandra for a coach:)

Hey, look. Carson is actually withing the area going the right direction when he scored. Of course, had he caught up with him he would likely have taken the ball away and kicked it out.

I believe this was the game Carson made his first goal as well. Unfortunately it was for the other team.
