Enrichment night is OVER!!

Like everything else in life, 200 things have to seemingly go wrong no matter how prepared you think you are! This enrichment night wasn't much different but it's over now and to the average attendee, it probably seemed like it ran pretty smoothly.
We had a DVD & VHS that we were watching, on after the other. Of course, as I go up to change between the two, Cody calls my phone...nothing to break the mood like a ringing cell phone. Also, on that note, I came to the church beforehand to make sure the DVD player and the VCR worked and the switch would run smoothly, which it seemed to be perfect...it wasn't (at least when it mattered!)
Besides that we had lasagnas, which I swear it never took lasagnas this long to cook before! Also, one of the lasagnas seemed really wrong, so we had to throw one out. Luckily, I was worried about how much lasagna was available, so at the last minute I ran to Macey's and bought an extra lasagna and threw it in my oven. I told Cody if we didn't need it he could have it for dinner...we definitely needed it. I think we did end up with 2 extra half pieces of lasagna.
I made all these fences to put around the gym with flowers on them and such and as we were unloading them 2 of them fell over in the wind and some slats came off, we were able to make them look like they weren't broken at least!
And then the grand finale...I wanted to play a video that was played in the relief society session in October 2005 conference. First, I went to our distribution center here to buy the conference session on DVD (no, you can't download conference and save it to your computer). They said they only carry the current conference, but Layton & Salt Lake would have 2005. So I get to Salt Lake and totally forget to pick it up. Then I decide to order it, but while we're in Salt Lake again on Monday I decided I'd better buy it at the distribution center since mine hadn't arrived by mail and the dinner was the next day. We went to the distribution center only to find that they don't print Relief Society session on the conference DVDs. So, they tell me to call the R.S. headquarters to find out about getting a copy. The headquarters tell me that my stake should record it, and it should be in the stake library. So...I round up the keys to our stake center, which is way too far away and go to the stake center, find the tape, only to find that it's BLANK! I've about given up at this point. However, I called some friends from my old Nibley Stake and round up keys to their stake center and voila! there's the tape I'm looking for! In the end, I think it turned out all right, the best part is...IT'S OVER!!!!!!
