I did it! I ran the Huntsville Marathon! It was a good race. I wish I
was a little more satisfied with my race but I am still happy that I
DID IT! I started training in May for this race and put in a lot of
miles! The best part of the race was finishing with Corbett!
Sandra and Natalie also ran the race! It was a great day! My little family all came to cheer me on!
My cute neighbors gave me a lot of support. The day before the race they put up these signs for me! They are so sweet! Thank you Duersch Family!!

The big 35!
For Cody's birthday this year we were pretty busy so we didn't do too much. He got a Garmin running watch for a present but he got it a month early. He is coaching Corbett's flag football team (Corbett's team is called the Bengals, thus the Bengal flags on the cupcakes) so I took cupcakes to their practice for his birthday cake. Happy Birthday Cody!

Boys in the Hood!
We have a lot of boys just older than Corbett in our cul-de-sac. Every once in a while they get a good game of football going. Most of them play on flag football or regular football teams. It is a fun group!!

Bear Lake!!
For Labor Day we went to Bear Lake with Cody's brother Kiel and his wife Jen. We had SO much fun! The kids played their hearts out! Cody made a sand castle. The kids wouldn't leave Cody's castle alone so I built them their own sand pile and they had a lot of fun climbing all over that! Below...Kennedy giving me a cheesy smile!
Corbett was so happy to have his cousin Brode there to play with!
Konrad was covered in sand the whole time!
Playing King of the Hill! Boys!?!
Super HaPpY!
Kennedy also had a friend! Her cousin Kadence is less than a year older. Someday they will be great friends!
Kennedy LOVED Bear Lake! She was in the water as soon as we got there and played in it every last second!
Cody and Kiel got out the frisbee...
Cody's completed castle...
Cutest girls at the beach!!
Dirt ball, but so happy!
It was such a great day! Weather was perfect, water was perfect, lots of fun to be had!

Brigham City Temple Open House
We had the neat opportunity to attend the Brigham City Temple Open House. It is beautiful! What a great experience for our kids, and for us to be in the Temple with them. We feel blessed to have new (and old) Temples all around us!
Top of Utah Half Marathon
Cody and I both ran the Top of Utah Half Marathon last Saturday! It was one of the funnest races yet! That might have something to do with Cody and I both getting our personal best times in a half! Before this year I always said "someday" I will run a half marathon in under 2 hours. Earlier this summer I ran a half in 1:59:50. I made my goal by 10 SECONDS! I was thrilled but I figured I would never PR (personal record) again. At the Top of Utah half I ran 1:57:16! I was thrilled. Cody also got a major PR. I think his best time until this race was around 1:42 and he ran the Top of Utah in 1:38. Racing is something we both really enjoy (I should clarify though that we aren't really racing, just participating). Lately we have done a lot of running with a group of runners called the "Nibley Runners". They are all people from Nibley who get together on Fridays and Saturdays for a run down the canyon or even just support each other on our Facebook group. Before the Top of Utah we had a pre-race dinner with over 100 people (runners and their families) at Heritage Park. It was a lot of fun and got us all pumped up for the race!

First Day of First Grade!
Corbett started the first grade this week! He loves school so it is fun to send him, but I think he will need some time to get used to a full day of school. His teacher is Mrs. Dahle. We are so proud of Corbett. He is such a good kid. On the first day he woke up and got all dressed right away and then came in the kitchen and said, "Mom, I admire you all of the time!" That's just Corbett for you! I love it! Today I told Corbett to eat his breakfast because it had learning power and concentration power. He said, "protein." I said, "yes, AND protein." Corbett said, "no, JUST protein." He cracks me up!
He rides his bike to school with some neighbor kids, he is getting TOO big! He was excited to get a new bike and helmet for the school year!
