Family Life

So it turns out having three kids is three times the work! We're loving every minute of it...however Corbett has taken up photography. He takes pictures of random things. Recently he took a few pictures of a "used" diaper. I thought I should just post that to sum up our life lately (diapers diapers diapers)! We are waiting for nice weather so we can get out and get fresh air and exercise. There have been a few SHORT stints of warm weather so we went to the neighborhood park so Corbett could get some exercise. Here he is doing the monkey bars (just to show evidence we haven't completely forgotten our firstborn!) Here's the picture he would really want you to see though, for some reason he wanted me to take pictures of the "landing" when he dropped from the monkey bars???Here's some pictures of our CUTE twins!Konrad and kennedy seem to like each other well enough but we had to make a new rule in our house, "NO eating your brother!" While in the tub one day Kennedy got a firm grip on Konrad's arm and tried to eat it!Corbett loves taking care of the twins. He says Kennedy and I are princesses, Corbett & Konrad are heroes, and Cody is the bad guy!Corbett has taken up snorkeling in the bathtub!

Babies!

My friend Shauna came and took these cute pictures and put together these collages for me! I LOVE them!!

Double Trouble!!

The day FINALLY arrived!! Last Thursday we welcomed our TWINS into our family!Kennedy Noelle Sorensen was born on May 6th at 2:47 p.m. She weighed 6 lb 6 oz and was 19.5 inches. Kennedy is a beautiful little girl!!!! She sleeps a lot and is very content and she rarely cries. Konrad Clinton Sorensen was born May 6th at 2;52 p.m. and weighed 6 lb 3 oz and was 19 inches long. Konrad is a little louder. He keeps us going and has a hungry little tummy! We think he's such a handsome little guy.
We're so in love with these little babies! We were so happy that everything went so well. The babies arrived so healthy and went as well as we could have hoped for!

We finally got to go home! We're looking forward to our new adventures with our new little family!!

HAPPY Mother's Day!

This was such a GREAT Mother's Day!! We are blessed to have two great mother's who were there for us through this amazing experience of bringing our twins into our family! We were so grateful to have both of them there with us for this. We appreciated ALL that they did for us!
Both of our moms are very talented women, both very creative. They both LOVE their families and especially their grandchildren. I am thankful to my mother for raising her family to be independent and hard workers. She sacrificed so much for me and my siblings! Cody's mom also raised a great family and sacrificed for them. I am thankful to her for raising a great son for me to raise my family with. She also does so much for me. I love you both!

Marshmallow WOMan

Lately I feel like the marshmallow man! We're anxiously awaiting the arrival of our twins!! I can't wait to have more than a couple items of clothing I can fit into. If I was having one baby I would be measuring 49 weeks gestation! Really it's embarrassing that even very large maternity shirts only make it to the middle of my belly. In all honesty I am struggling a lot with the end of this pregnancy. I can't move very well and my feet are swelling up like watermelons! At my doctor appointment on Friday the doctor will set a date for me to be induced. I'm hoping for next Thursday (May 6th)! We're glad the babies are still doing well though and should arrive at a good weight.
So what have we been up to? Corbett is in soccer now. It's a league for 3-4 year olds. It's pretty entertaining. Corbett loves it! He thinks he's so big now. He's on team REAL. Cody is his coach. We've had several warm days where we made it to the park. It's the perfect opportunity for me to pull up a camp chair and chill while Corbett gets his exercise. We had a bbq with friends and a couple game nights. We made it up the canyon twice to roast hot dogs and s'mores (another chance for me to relax in a camp chair). Cody took Corbett down to a Bees' game in Salt Lake and I had the evening to myself. Here's Corbett at the game, from what I hear it was a good time and they caught lots of foul balls!Corbett also went with Cody to Rigby to do a job there and Corbett spent the day with his Grandma & Grandpa Sorensen. He had a lot of fun from what I hear. Last night Grandma & Grandpa Sorensen came to see Corbett play his soccer game. We all went out to Bluebird for dinner. We had a great time! Preschool ends tomorrow. My last day as teacher was today though and the timing couldn't be better. I'm very proud of Corbett and the progress he has made.

Spoiled Rotten!

A few weeks ago some of my best friends came to Logan and had a baby shower for me! They took me to lunch at the Bluebird (YUM!) and spoiled me! I love these girls, whenever we get to hang out we have SO much fun!! THANK YOU Jamie, Lindzi, & Laura!! I'm so lucky to have such great friends! Here's one of the few pregnant pictures I'm going to share.

Trip to Idaho

Two weeks ago we made a trip to Rexburg, Idaho to see our niece Matilda be baptized. It was a quick Sunday trip (she was baptized on Sunday evening). Congrats to Matilda! Corbett got a chance to play with his Sorensen cousins. Here is Corbett with his cousin Jack. They are about 9 month apart and LOVE playing together! It was a great day for flying kites!!
It was fun to see everyone but I think that will be our last trip for a while. The traveling makes my contractions start up and we want to avoid going into labor for a few more weeks!
