All in a Saturday!

Two posts in two days! Yesterday we had a fun day, we went to the pumpkin walk and to the USU football game. I don't know how to explain the pumpkin walk if you haven't been there...a bunch of pumpkins and other produce painted and accessorized to created cartoons and other scenes from T.V. and such! They also have a bunch of things you can stick your head through and take pictures as shown below!
We went to the pumpkin walk with the Hansens, here's Corbett with Ashlyn, Marshall, and Bayler. Then we headed to the USU game where the weather wasn't the best but it wasn't too bad other than a few drops of rain and a few cold breezes. USU won 23-21, fun game to watch.Payton, Quinn, and Derek (my nephews) cheering on the Aggies!

Randomness

This post is pretty random. I have some pictures of the past month and a half but they're all random activities. (In the picture above you can see Corbett showing off his SWEET spider man moves!) We haven't done anything major, Cody has been traveling quite a bit the past few weeks...he's been to California, Michigan, and Texas. We went to a USU football game, Big Blue was standing near us for quite a while but I couldn't seem to get a picture of Corbett with him, this is the best I have. My mom made Corbett a pirate shirt, I know it's too early for Halloween pictures but Corbett is such a cute pirate I couldn't resist! This is what my sister thinks is appropriate for preschool. She made the boys elephant costumes, problem is Corbett loves to wear his and still does. I think she was bored and did it for her own amusement!

So, I've been using the Internet a lot to find out how to do things. The other day I looked up how to clean a jetted tub...the advice was to fill the tub, add dish soap, and run the jets for 10 minutes. I disagree! Corbett had a good time playing in the bubbles but WHAT A MESS!!

TWINS!!!

I'm so excited for this post!! Late this summer we went through the invitro process (once again) and were so EXCITED to find out that it was successful! We are 8 weeks along now. We found out early this week that we are having TWINS! We couldn't be more excited and grateful. We know Heavenly Father has a plan for us, it's been a long road though and we've had to learn a lot about patience and submitting to the Lord's will. Usually I don't post a lot about this but a friend's blog with a similar trial inspired me to document this very important experience. We got to have an ultrasound this week and see those little hearts beating away. Both hearts had strong heartbeats! We were so happy there were two of them. Corbett is happy as well. He knows mommy needs a shot each night and he likes to help with the alcohol swab. He says each night something like, "no blood today!" He wants a brother and or sister badly and always talks about the babies. It's a little early for naming but Corbett insists if we have a boy it will be named Larry! I haven't been too sick through this pregnancy, well at least relative to other women. Relative to my other pregnancies it's been a lot worse, but I'm so happy for it! We're also thankful for all the family and friends that have prayed for us and been our support system through it all!

A lot to catch up on!

I've been a slacker in the blogging business lately, mostly because all my pictures were in random places (i.e. my phone and Cody's computer) and I didn't want to gather them all together. Here's a quick spill on what we've been doing...Corbett ended the summer with some water fun! Our good friends Ben & Jenny came to Utah!!! I got to see Jenny and their kids Dax and Jacy and Cody went and hiked the Tetons with Ben. Dax and Corbett are close in age and for the first time they took to each other immediately. They're sure to be good friends, if only they had more chances to play! Our neighbors Trish and Josh invited us to the lake on their boat. This is Corbett and Ashlyn hanging out in the water at Hyrum Dam. It was a good time! Here's Trish, Shauna, & Casen. Sorry about the picture quality...it's from my camera phone.Trish and Josh have been such great neighbors, one night Josh brought home a track hoe for work and he spent the evening helping us get our RV pad ready.
Corbett is going to be a climber! Cody has been able to take him rock climbing 3 or 4 times this summer and Cody has been SPOILED to go himself a few more times than that! Here is Corbett's first day of preschool! My sister and sister-in-law both have boys Corbett's age so we have a preschool for them 3 days a week. We each take a day and teach them. It's been a lot of fun, so far we've done it for two weeks. Sure beats paying for preschool, when people tell me how much they pay for it I can't believe it!Of course you get what you pay for...right? When I picked Corbett up from preschool one day this is what he was doing...my brother-in-law was pushing the boys down the street in the wheelbarrow?!? Maybe they were learning about friction? We went and found my family who were camping in Logan canyon over Labor Day. We didn't spend the night (and no we are not too wimpy for a tent now we have no trailer!) It just didn't work out so we spent an evening, that was plenty of time for Corbett to roll around in the dirt enough to become a ball of dirt!
and lastly we went to the Wellsville Parade on Labor Day. Corbett is learning how to be aggressive enough to get to the candy! Here he is with his friends Bayler, Ashlyn, & Marshall.

Happy Day!

This weekend my brother Grant and his wife Erica were sealed to their daughter Taylor. It was a very nice ceremony. We are so happy for them. Taylor was so happy for the pictures! I'm sure she knew something wonderful just happened to her. I was glad I got to share in this experience!!

Life Lately

We've been having WAY too much fun lately! Last weekend was the Cache County Fair so we wandered around there for a while with Shauna and Brian. Here's Shauna and Brian with their baby, Casen. Below, Corbett begged a ride whenever he could.Later we had dutch oven dinner at the Larkins and that night we played the Construction Game with our neighbors Trish and Josh. On Sunday we went to Shauna & Brian's for a game of Kill Dr. Lucky! Monday we went to a party at our friends parents house in Kaysville who have a pool!...Cody is trying to get a full rotation in here. Then we spent a night at Cody's grandma's apartment which overlooks the Conference Center and the Salt Lake Temple. The following day we spent the day at Cherry Hill!! That's what I wanted to do for my birthday but we just didn't get around to it. Friday night we had to go to Ogden for a job for Cody so we went out to dinner at one of my favorite places, Lee's Mongolian BBQ afterward, and then went and played games with our friends Jack and Lindzi! Saturday Cody's parents came for a visit! We went to feed the ducks at First Dam and on a hike up the river trail! They also took us out to Bluebird!...yummy! So as you can see we've been busy busy and having tons of fun! I just wanted to post this picture here below because I thought it was such a cute moment!

Birthday Week!

My birthday was this week! It's not nearly as exciting as it used to be, but my friend Shauna made me a cake (mud pie!!) and we had a little party with their family on Monday evening! It was a lot of fun!!! Thanks Shauna! On my birthday I had to play a softball game (I thought we'd probably lose but we actually won 11-2) so Cody, Corbett, & I went to dinner after the game. Cody gave me a box of whoppers instead of a cake...suits me!

Here's Shauna with their baby Casen.
Brian, Ashlyn, & Marshall waiting for cake!Bayler B! He's the happiest kid around! On Monday we also got invited to go for a bus ride with the Larkins. Camie Jo and her kids were invited too. Here's Corbett with Carson & Coleman on the bus. We rode the bus to Charlies to get icecream. Corbett is really enjoying his bubblegum icecream. He doesn't usually like to get messy so this is a pretty unusual look for him! I had some of his bubblegum icecream and I must say, the bubblegum is nasty! Was it always that way and I was just a kid so I didn't care??? Derek at CharliesSamanthaAfter icecream we decided to play at the mall on their toys. Really I went shopping with the girls!!We took a total of 9 kids with us, here they are on the toys at the mall.We finally painted our railing. We put in our own railing and have not been able to give it a proper finish. I have wanted to just replace it for a LONG time but we decided to paint it and hopefully it will stay a while longer!
