We needed a little family vacation after Cody's long trip to India! We headed to Salt Lake for an overnighter! First we had a party with some long time friends in Kaysville. It was at the Valentine's home and it was a LOT of fun! Then we headed to Salt Lake and stayed in a hotel. We woke up and had breakfast then swam all morning! After that we played some more at Scheels, McDonalds, the kids played at Small Land while we shopped at IKEA, and then we headed to Kiel and Jen's house in Eagle Mountain. The kids loved spending time with their cousins all day long!

Grandpa Claus
I don't know if you can get this book to show here, but this was the funnest thing we did this Christmas! Cody's parents play Santa and Mrs. Claus and I've never met anyone who does anywhere near as good of a job as they do! We decided to make a little storybook about it for our family! We gave it to Kim and Susan when most of the grandkids were there so they could all read it together! It was a lot of fun!
Shutterfly photo books offer a variety of layouts and cover options to choose from.
Farewell Grandma Sorensen
We had to say goodbye to Grandma Sorensen. She was diagnosed with cancer and was given 2 to 5 weeks to live. In true Grandma fashion, she lived all 5 of them! She was excited to go to the next life and had no regrets. She lived a good life and served her whole life. She was looking forward to being with Grandpa and her parents and other relatives and friends who have gone before her. We will deeply miss her. She was an amazing Grandma and we loved her so much! Goodbye for now, we will see you again!
She asked Cody's dad to play the bagpipes at her funeral. It was very cold but Kim was honored to do it.
Corbett with his cousins Gabe and Jack at the church after the funeral.
A group of sharp looking boys. Corbett was sure excited to get to play with these cousins! (Gabe, Corbett, Jack, and Brode)

Corbett
Corbett has been a busy little man! He made a movie for the school Reflections contest. He was the only entry in our school so he got to go on to the council level. He took first place there and is now at the region level!
He has earned 3 certificates in the Reading Counts program at school. He got his Pup, Team Dog, and Swing Dog Awards. He loves to read the Beast Quest books and we read a few each week together.
He also started a library! He has had several people write books to put in his library. This is his laptop and scanner and laptop bag he made for the library. He made library cards and everything. He is a very creative child.
Corbett also writes a newspaper for our cul-de-sac. The first edition I wrote on a piece of paper because he wouldn't stop asking to do it. After that the paper evolved and now I help him type it up on the computer. He loves to go take pictures of things around the neighborhood and report the news!

Funny Faces
Whenever I pull out the camera the kids want to be silly!
I think this is why I pulled out the camera in the first place, Corbett wanted me to take his picture with his guitar.
